Peter Waterhouse has worked in the Financial Services industry for many years and became a Mortgage Broker in 2008. He holds both a Certificate 4 & Diploma in Financial Services & Mortgage Broking.

With the high cost of housing it is a struggle for many people to own their own home. To Peter there is nothing better than to see the smile on a clients face when he tells them their loan has been approved. In many cases he can celebrate with them on moving-in day with a glass of champers.

What makes Peter different to other brokers?:

Peter’s focus is to build a relationship of trust with his clients. At the first meeting he will spend a good deal of time going over their personal information, assets and liabilities and what they want to achieve by obtaining the loan. This may include details about future lifestyle that will impact on the type of loan needed. Fixed or variable loans are an example of this. Peter then takes most of the worry out of your hands and deals with the Lender for you.

Loan selection is a key issue with most clients and Peter is able to compare information from approximately 30 different lenders through modern software that shows up-to-date details about all loans. He will generate a comparison of loans that he believes are most suitable to you, and take you through the details and provide a recommendation of why a particular loan may be the most suitable to your needs.

Understanding your struggles

Most of his clients have become friends and in many cases he will assist them with any changes to their lending requirements as their family situation changes. As salaries increase so does borrowing power and this can mean opportunities for better housing or investment.

A number of his clients are actually first home builders and this can be a very daunting task. Peter built his house in Hervey Bay and understands the issues and concerns relative to building. Providing quality loans for these people can help reduce the pressure. You don’t build a house very often so you need to enjoy the experience when you do.
