An Industry Highlight
A client was referred to me - he was a self employed truck driver. When he purchased his home he had used a broker that put him into a high interest Lo Doc home loan. I liaised with the client and his accountant and discovered that his financials were very good and he could easily qualify for a normal loan. I was able to get him an interest rate that was 1.35% lower than his old loan saving him over $560 per month in interest. What I found satisfying was not only making the client very happy but, his accountant also complimented me on my professionalism.
What makes you different?
My primary concern is making sure I understand what the client’s needs are before recommending a product or certain lender. It is also important to me that my clients understand why we have chosen the lender and importantly that they understand the process. Especially if you are buying your first home, it can be very confusing.
When you are buying a home to live in it is important that you get a loan product that best suits you personal needs. I involve my clients in the decision making process so they are comfortable with the decision and know they have a competitive interest rate and a product that best suits their needs.
I think I have old fashioned country values than give me a different approach in how I treat my clients.
